Meredith and I are considering refreshing our front yard and porch with Texas native landscaping to add a little color and curb appeal. To be clear, we are not planning to sell the house—though our neighbors may reasonably wonder what brought on this sudden burst of ambition.
If you have any native plants you’re dividing, removing, or simply no longer need, we’d be glad to give them a good home. We’re especially interested in hardy Central Texas plants that bring color and life to the yard without needing daily counseling through August.
The attached photos show the current space, along with a couple of AI-generated ideas for the direction we’re hoping to take. If you have plants to share—or wisdom that might keep us from accidentally creating a very expensive patch of dirt—we’d love to hear from you.
