Sunday, October 25, 1pm. Join us for our upcoming Lunch and Learn: Welcoming the Stranger, where we will explore migration – one of the defining social issues of our day. We will be joined by Matthew Blanton, a fellow parishioner and PhD candidate studying forced migration from and within Central America. Here in Austin, where nearly one in five residents is foreign-born, many of our neighbors are navigating daily life under growing uncertainty and fear. This session will consider what Scripture teaches about immigration. From there, we will turn to the broader story of human migration—why people move, how migration has shaped nations. Grounded in biblical teaching and informed by migration history and research, this lunch and learn aims to offer a fuller, more faithful understanding of one of the most urgent issues of our time.
