Prayer Ministry
Prayer happens in many forms at Christ Church and is central to our collective spiritual life and holistic health. Below are three formal ways to be involved in the prayer life of our parish. Healing Prayer Team
The Christ Church Healing Prayer Team offers confidential prayer to individuals seeking God’s healing of mind, body, soul, and spirit. We follow the Biblical model of ministering in pairs and rely on the leading of The Holy Spirit to pray. Ongoing training and mentoring is provided for team members. Prayer teams are available to pray in confidence at the end of each Sunday worship service. To request a prayer time outside of worship services, please contact care@christchurchofaustin.org.
Covering Prayer Team
The Christ Church Covering Prayer Team meets together on Sunday mornings to offer prayers of protection prior to and for each church service. In covering prayer, we are partnering with the Holy Spirit to contend for Spiritual protection for all CC ministers and their families, for all members and visitors, for prayer team members and those for whom they pray, and for CC’s ministry to Austin and the world.
Intercessory Prayer Team
The Christ Church Intercessory Prayer Team is made up of individual members who commit to pray confidentially and regularly on behalf of those in our Christ Church community and beyond who request prayer, to pray for the leaders, ministries and members of the church. To submit a prayer request, or to express interest in praying, please see the gray section to the right and select the appropriate link.
HOW TO RECEIVE PRAYER
We invite you to receive prayer during the service on-site while communion is served. You can also schedule a time during the week to pray with a healing prayer minister by submitting a request at the button below.
If you would like to share a specific prayer request with the intercessory prayer team, you can do so by submitting a request at the button below. Prayer ministers will intercede on your behalf throughout the week.
