Race, History, and Policy in East Austin

October 7 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Christ Church is hosting an event to learn about the history of race and policy in east Austin. Ashton Cumberbatch, a community leader in racial reconciliation, along with his wife, Jennifer Cumberbatch, Associate Pastor at Agape Ministries, and their daughter Virginia Cumberbatch, Director of the Community Engagement Center at UT, will be presenting. They will help give us insight into God’s work in the community by learning its history of race relations and public policy. As new residents on the Eastside, let’s enter as learners and listeners, so that we can “Love Where We Live.” Location: Huston-Tillotson University, in the Dickey-Lawless Auditorium. Time: 9:30 for coffee, snacks, and visiting with the Cumberbatch family; 10am-noon for the presentation and panel.
