Mere Christianity Book Club
April 26 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Sunday, repeating until May 3, 2020
Join us for a “shelter in place” book club! We will be reading C.S. Lewis’s classic text Mere Christianity and meeting via Zoom for six Sundays from 7:30 to 8:30pm (beginning Sunday, March 29th through Sunday, May 3rd!) to discuss the book that made Lewis the 20th century’s greatest Christian apologist.
Lewis originally wrote the chapters of Mere Christianity as a series of BBC radio talks delivered to Britain during the WWII attacks on London. Lewis was speaking to a world that had turned upside down, and we believe his encouragement will be timely for us as well.
Book club starts this Sunday, so jump in with us and read the first 5 chapters this weekend. The chapters are short and you can even watch them while cooking dinner or folding laundry here at the YouTube Lewis Doodle channel.
All you need to do is register to join, read the text, and click on this Zoom link to show up. If you aren’t familiar with Zoom, come 5-10 minutes early and we will help you figure out how to navigate the platform.
Email Annie Crawford if you have any questions or want to test Zoom ahead of time.
