Thank You, Amy!

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

Dear Christ Church,

After nearly three years wholeheartedly serving on our Christ Church staff as Youth Pastor, I’m sad to share with you that Amy Saxbury has prayerfully discerned that it’s the right time to step away from this role. Many of you will remember that she joined our staff as the first full-time Youth Pastor back in September of 2018. Until then, a string of staff members and key volunteers had overseen our Christ Church youth. Amy inherited the ministry from these leaders and led right as we moved into 112 Medina. Since then, she has helped grow our Christ Church Youth Ministry into a vibrant part of our church community.

Whether it’s been planning weekly meetings for our high schoolers, Eikon, and bi-weekly gatherings for our middle school youth, Ignite; forming a youth worship band; creating a trusting and worshipful space for our youth to know and love Jesus more; helping the youth stay connected during the pandemic; co-leading our largest youth Catechesis class with Fr. Matt; or hosting memorable, formative youth retreats, she has done so with the love and energy of the Lord on behalf of our youth.

As the season of her ministry at Christ Church comes to an end, we will miss Amy and her leadership. Our youth is a valuable part of our church community, and I invite you to pray for them in this transition. Amy, thank you for your faithful three years of service at Christ Church and for loving our youth well!

One last note: We are paying attention to the Austin Covid tracker. Remember that we have outdoor seating in the courtyard, an 11am live-streamed service, and masks are always an option as you come to church.
