Dear Christ Church,
Missional Encounters. Want to stretch your vision of God’s big world, or put your skills to use in its healing? Join us this Sunday at 10:30am in the Parish Hall to learn more about participating in a:
(1) 2020 Border Encounter, a trip to El Paso/Juarez, the largest borderplex in the world, to see and understand the many-faceted perspectives on global migration and the church’s response (read more in last week’s Enews), and…
(2) Medical mission trip to Guatemala. If you are a health professional and interested in serving among the most vulnerable and marginalized, come learn more about this summer trip. Note: we will also be offering our intergenerational mission team as we do every year, open to all regardless of vocational training. If you’re interested in one of these missional encounters but can’t make the meeting, please contact email@example.com.
Christmas Services. Invite a friend, a neighbor, or a family member to our Christmas Eve Services. The first service (4pm) will feature our children in a pageant. The next two services (6pm & 8pm) will feature a creative collaboration between some of our own musicians and Strings Attached, one of Austin’s finest musical ensembles offering the deep and reflective beauty of Christmas Eve. Also, Sunday December 29th we will have one combined service, Lessons & Carols at 10am.
Christine’s Accident Blog Update. Lastly, it’s been six months since the last post, but there’s an update here. We continue to be grateful for your consistent prayers in post-accident Year 2, with its unique challenges and joys.
P.S. The painting is “Nativity,” by Korean artist Woonbo Kim Ki-chang, (1914-2001).
