Dear Christ Church,
“Come and see.” That’s what Jesus said when Andrew and another disciple first saw Jesus and asked, “Where are you staying?” For every human being who wants to know where God hangs out, the answer is the same: get close to Jesus . . . “come and see.”
God has put some people in your life who ache for God, but need an invitation to “come and see.” Is there someone you can invite to church this Sunday, someone curious or even seeking already, or maybe someone who has a church background but has drifted away? You can call them, text them, walk down the hall, knock on their door, or use this for a digital invitation. This Sunday is our first public worship service at 112 Medina St. and we are throwing the doors wide open.
This Sunday only, we will have three services: 9am, 11am, 5pm. We have a couple of requests to help us be as hospitable as possible. First, if you are not bringing a friend, would you consider attending the 5pm to help make room for guests in the morning? Unless, of course, your guest prefers the 5pm! We also would like to request that 9am worshippers make a special effort this week to make your parking space available a little earlier than usual for those attending the 11am service. Thank you!
It is a joy to serve as your priest and co-laborer for the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ!
P.S. Mark your calendar! Our Bishop will lead us in a special Consecration Service of 112 Medina St. at 7pm on Saturday, September 22nd.
