Christine’s stability and ability to walk has progressed to the point that she is now able to walk about her room freely. That means she can sit on the couch side-by-side with Cliff next to the window. The swelling around her eyes seems to have subsided a bit, and more medicines have been added to the daily regime of eye ointments and ear drops. The ENT doctor is expected to see her in the morning, and may do the procedure to extract more of the remains of internal bleeding from her ear. Speech, Physical, and Occupational therapies continue several times a day and Christine is progressing well, but it all takes a lot of effort and wears her out. Her vascular doctor visited this evening, and wants to schedule an angiogram about a week from now to assess the damage to her carotid arteries and establish a baseline in order to track progress. Because she’s moving around more, the blood thinner she was previous taking by injection has been replaced by a daily aspirin.
Please continue to pray:
- For Christine’s pain levels and swelling to decrease, and (in her words) “for the Lord to give her the story for the day, not the pain”
- For hearing ears, seeing eyes, a smelling nose, and a tasting tongue (currently, she can only taste bitter and sweet)
- For the Holy Spirit to guide, protect and administer peace over all that Christine is processing
- For peaceful and restoring sleep and strength for continued healing and recovery
