New Staff!

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes, Frontpage News

Good news, Christ Church!

We have opened a search for our first full-time Youth Pastor, whom we are hoping to bring on staff this summer. This individual will be devoted to building community among our youth, discipling and leading them to lives that love and reflect Christ, and to helping our youth bear witness to him among their peers and in our world. If you know of any good candidates, please direct them to Matt Dampier at matt@christchurchofaustin.org. And please join us in prayer for God’s provision of the right person for such a time as this.  We’re super excited!

As I mentioned here two months ago, Meghan Scully is bringing her time on staff as Assistant to the Rector to a close (mil gracias, Meghan, for your service to Christ Church, our staff, me, and our God!). I am delighted to announce the recent hire of Carolyn Roman, who will begin serving in this role beginning Monday, April 9th. Carolyn, born in Venezuela, grew up in Houston and has lived in Austin for most of the past 20 years. She has four grown children, two of whom are in college. She is a woman of humility and dependence on the Lord, gifted with organizational and administrative abilities, and a heart to serve Christ and His church. Independent of her hire, Carolyn recently began worshipping with us and came through our Membership process. Welcome to our community and team, Carolyn!

Please join me, with Christ Church hospitality, in giving a Carolyn a warm welcome. Meghan will overlap with Carolyn for the next two weeks, but all communications that you might have once directed to Meghan, should now be directed to carolyn@christchurchofaustin.org. Thank you, Meghan, for the loving and servant-hearted gift of your skills and abilities to the mission of our parish!

If you are just curious about the Anglican Church, or perhaps even interested in being confirmed (the class is required for May 27 Confirmation, see details below), check this out for some of my thoughts on being Anglican, and join us for our next Introduction to Anglicanism class.
