An Easy Way To Give

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes, Frontpage News

Dear Christ Church,

At Sunday’s Annual Parish Meeting we reported on the Lord’s faithfulness, and your continued generosity to the mission of Christ Church, such that we started 2018 in a healthy financial position.  And on Ash Wednesday, almost 300 people from Christ Church and Church of the Cross robustly worshipped together at what felt like a family reunion. We have so much to be thankful for!

I am excited to announce an important update to giving at Christ Church.  We are introducing a way to give online.  This new platform is a safe and simple tool to give through a variety of ways, including mobile and online.  You can choose the convenience of setting up one-time or ongoing donations by debit, credit, or automatic draft from a bank account.

We have the privilege of joining God in making all things new in the church and the world.  Our generous giving of ourselves and resources is an act of worship to the One who bountifully provides.  We hope this option to give online will be beneficial tool that better enables us to concretely give towards the mission and calling of Christ Church.  To help symbolize your online giving in this act of worship, we will soon provide small wooden tokens at the Welcome Table that you can put in the offering basket as a sacramental act.

We welcome you to start using our new online giving platform by:
1.     Visiting our website
2.     Texting ccaustin to 77977
3.     Downloading the Pushpay App; search for Christ Church of Austin

If you’d like to maximize your donation to Christ Church, we recommend the automatic draft option as it incurs a 1% vendor fee versus debit (2%) and credit (3%). Regardless of what option you choose, your donation is 100% tax deductible.

This Sunday, we’ll explain and highlight this new opportunity in more detail.  Also, it will be the first Sunday in Lent, when we begin worship with the Great Litany, a thorough soul-scrubbing corporate time of confession, as the procession of the cross winds through the congregation.  You will want to be on time to participate in this meaningful act of worship together!

P.S. Special thanks to Amy Kenyon, who took this photo during last year’s mission trip to Guatemala!
