Vestry, Staff, and Property

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes, Frontpage News

Dear Christ Church,

The Vestry and I are deeply grateful for the sacrificial service (7am meetings!) of the outgoing Vestry members: Paula Wendling, Mike Murphy, and Senior Warden David McLaughlin. Please join us this Sunday during the 11am service as we vote on the new Vestry candidates: Eleanor Chote, Kim Polk, and Jonathan Sempsrott. In case you missed the previous CliffNotes profile, you can learn all about our Vestry in general, and our new candidate profiles here and here.

Did you see this? Wes Crawford interviewed some Christ Churchers who live in the neighborhood of our church building, and they have a beautiful, compelling vision for how to Love Where We Live.

Renovations are rolling; the staff is moving!  Check out this short video of our staff’s new temporary offices at 1000 E. Cesar Chavez (by the way, mail should still be sent to 112 Medina St.).  In order to help stay on track with the renovation, we needed to move out for a couple of months.  We are getting cozy in our new location and feel it is such a provision to be right next door to the Medina property.

On a final note, our staff had a tremendous time together at Laity Lodge last week for our staff retreat. Our soon-to-be Associate Rector, Matt Dampier, joined us for a taste of what our “new team,” full and complete will be like in about six weeks.

Grace and peace,
