Staff Updates

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes, Frontpage News

Dear Christ Church,

I have several staff updates for you this week!

New Office Administrator! I am delighted to introduce you to Kirsty Jackson, our new Office Administrator, who began working with us this week. She is the first person you’ll see upon entering the church, the one who will answer your phone calls, keep us all sane around the office, and a host of administrative responsibilities that we all depend on for the life and mission Christ Church. Kirsty was raised in South Africa, before moving with her family to Austin during elementary school. She studied Geography at UT, spent three years with YWAM in England, enjoys bringing order and being part of a team pursuing a goal together, and she loves Jesus. If you would like to join me in welcoming her, you might like to send a quick note to kirsty@christchurchofaustin.org.

Welcome to the Crawford Family! School’s out, the house is ready, and Wes’ family is finally being reunited this weekend. The moving truck and family arrive and the family moves into their new home. Let’s welcome Wes and Melissa, and their kids Ann, Maggie, Claire, and Elaine to Austin with an old-fashioned Pounding. You’re thinking, “What’s that?” Don’t worry; it’s not violent. It’s an Anglican tradition of welcoming new pastors to the parish with a pound of food staples. See details of drop-off below, and feel free to put a local and/or Texas twist on the tradition. If you would like to help unload the van and greet the family tomorrow (Saturday) at 8:30am, please let him know at wes@christchurchofaustin.org, and he’ll send you the address.

Director of Children’s Ministry. Lastly, Bekah Powell who is soon to be married to Bo Goodgame (you’re a lucky man, Bo) will be stepping down as Director of Children’s Ministry in the coming months. We are very grateful for your heart, and impact upon our kids, Bekah! This is not goodbye yet, thankfully. In the meantime, we are opening up the search for our next Director of Children’s Ministry. If you, or someone you know, is interested please contact sarah@christchurchofaustin.org.

Peace, Cliff+

P.S Donuts for Dads this Sunday . . . join us! Happy Father’s Day!
