Love and Sexuality

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

There is sexual confusion all around us, which presents an enormous challenge to the church, leaving many people unclear about the relationship between Christian faith, loveandour bodies. How do we respond? Men and women across denominational lines are discovering a coherent and compelling answer in the late John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. This bold, biblical response to the sexual chaos of today’s world is transforming lives, healing relationships, affirming healthy singleness, and saving marriages around the world.

Christianity Today calls John Paul II’s Theology of the Body “brilliant” (June, 2009). It “manages to merge theology, pastoral reflection, and practical teaching in a way that orients the reader toward genuine transformation … without lapsing into moralism.” It also “provides a way of speaking about sexuality that avoids both profanity and prudish silence” (August, 2011).

I am pleased to announce that Christ Church will be hosting Christopher West, the world’s most widely recognized teacher of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. Christ Church invites you to join us April 18th for this latest installment of our Faith & Culture Series with Christopher West, a winsome scholar and speaker who has made cultural issues about love and sexuality his primary focus. See details below.

Third Service. On another note, we will start a Sunday evening at 5pm at the Medina St. campus, starting April 12th. We are inviting a core group of people to commit to this service for several months to help us get it started. Would you join us?
