A New Thing

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth . . .(Isaiah 43:19).” We are seeing God generate new life in many arenas of Christ Church: a new class, new members, a new service, a new team, and new leaders. Check out all these new things God is doing at Christ Church, and join me in gratitude and celebration.

A New Class. We are adding a new offering to our rotations of Sunday classes, Spiritual Formation, taught by Christine Warner beginning this Sunday. See details below.

New Members. Are you interested in becoming a member of Christ Church? No matter how long you have been attending, I invite you to come explore this vital next step in becoming part of the family of Christ Church. Join us Feb. 15th, see details below.

A New Service. We will have more information to come, but please be praying for the launch of a new Sunday evening service, late this Spring, that will meet in our new property on the Eastside. Please be in prayer for the volunteers needed (maybe that’s you), the core team, and the people who live nearby whom we hope to reach.

A New Team. Last month we launched an Evangelism Team, led by Sarah Smith, to lead Christ Church in more intentional witness to Jesus Christ within our city and among our circles of personal relationship.

Lastly, we have new leadership for our:
Mission Team–Kim Polk replacing Cliff Warner
Women’s Bible Study–Shirley Wofford, Diane Thompson and Candi Wendt replacing Sheila Skiles and Nancy Barr
Greeter Ministry–Stephanie Gilmore replacing Peter Coelho
Volunteer Scheduling–Mike Alesso replacing Matt Scully
Encore–Ewing Brown, Marlene Leigh and Eleanor Chote replacing Mike and Anita McCurdy.

Many thanks to all the outgoing leaders for your years of service; and many thanks to those who are stepping into servant-leadership!
