Global Concert of Prayer

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

Dear Christ Church,

John Piper opens his book, Let the Nations Be Glad, with these words, “Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exist because worship doesn’t.” This Saturday evening Christ Church is hosting a Global Concert of Prayer. We will worship the Triune God, and we will pray for parts of the world where there is no worship of our Savior and Lord.

Throughout my life and spiritual formation I have many memories of these kinds of evenings that shaped my imagination and passions, that gave me a wide-angle lens through which to view God’s world, and that tilted my life in the advance of God’s shalom on planet earth.

Come join the chorus of worship and prayer for this God-breathed and suffering world! It’s this Saturday night, 7-8:30pm in the Stott Room.

Thy kingdom come . . . on earth as in heaven,
