Pray for Our Youth

Dear Christ Church,

This weekend I will be privileged to join 27 students and nine youth leaders for the second annual Christ Church Youth Retreat. We will travel to Comfort, Texas for three days of fun, worship and community in hopes that we will grow closer to Jesus and one another.

Will you join us in prayer for this weekend?

One of our goals for our youth is that their faith grows past mere head knowledge and that Jesus will capture their hearts. Pray that through worship, teaching and small groups Jesus will continue to form our students into true disciples.

Another goal is that our students will be eager to minister to one another through prayer. This requires a certain mixture of safety and vulnerability. Pray that the Holy Spirit’s presence will be recognizable, and that our students will grow in their friendships with one another.

Our retreat will be led by a dedicated team of youth leaders who has been mentoring our students throughout the school year. Pray that God will give wisdom and strength to these leaders as they minister to our youth.

Thank you for holding us up.

P.S. This is the time of year when we begin to form our youth leadership team for the 2014-15 school year. If you would like to join this team, contact me.
