Faith & Culture is back! This is an annual series of lectures that explore Christian perspectives on contemporary issues.
In the period following World War II, the way we designed and built our cities changed dramatically, spurred on by the proliferation of cars in American society. Join us Sunday October 6th to examine how these changes in our built environment have affected how we think of ourselves and our neighbors, how a movement called the New Urbanism hasworked to restore some aspects of pre-war urban design, and what the Christian faith might have to say about all of this. You can find more details here.
Johnson, a parishioner of Christ Church, will give a presentation on the topic followed by a time of discussion. Kit is a member of the Congress for the New Urbanism and currently serves as the City Architect for the City of Austin. Join us and bring a friend!
