Mission Team Launches!

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

I am overjoyed to present to you our newly established Mission Team. The launch of this team, two years in the making, is the culmination of Christ Church’s “Year of Mission 2012.”

The Mission Team will lead Christ Church in missional action, prayer, and formation, as well as care for our supported missionaries and discern our strategic local and global commitments. This will include prayerfully identifying a second long-term partner for global mission, such as we now have with the Potter’s House serving those who suffer abject physical and spiritual poverty in the city dump of Guatemala’s capital. The next long-term partner will likely be in the non-western hemisphere.

If you would like to learn more about Christ Church’s theology, strategy and vision for mission, you can read this document, which serves as a charter for the launch of the Mission Team. If you’d like to see who Christ Church is supporting on a monthly basis, here’s an overview. (By the way, our current missionaries with the greatest fundraising need are the Nehme’s. If you would like to learn more about their ministry and consider becoming a financial partner, please contact john@tradeinhope.com.)

Join me in thanking God for the service of our new team (top row from left, Sara Morris, Meghan Scully, Ann Cushman, Kim Polk; bottom, from left, Cliff Warner, Jason Morris)!

For the sake of all nations,
Cliff
