Mighty in the Kingdom

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

Mrs. Butler is a mighty woman. A few months ago someone from the church where I grew up informed me that Mrs. Butler was stepping out of volunteer service in the children’s ministry after 30 years of service. She had been my Sunday School teacher, a gentle and persuasive witness of the gospel to my generation and hundreds more children as well. It was my joy to write her a note of deep gratitude for her kingdom impact.

Our children’s ministry, Kids Quest, is taking another step forward as we make disciples in BOTH services beginning August 1. I want to ask you to give serious consideration and prayer to joining this high impact and exciting ministry of Christ Church. There is a place for everyone and anyone; you might like to be in front of a large group of kids or prefer smaller group interactions. Whether you love telling stories, leading singing, quiet conversations, explaining the scriptures or behind-the-scenes administrative support–or whether you just want to love kids–there is a place for you.

I could be wrong, but you probably won’t serve in Kids Quest for 30 years; the Lord might want to use you for 1 or 2 years, however. Are you willing to miss 8 out of 52 weeks of Sunday worship this year, in order to spend the time making disciples among our youngest members? See the announcement below, and Michele’s email link, to discover more about this ministry opportunity.
