A Call to Fans

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

If you’ve ever been to a Longhorn football game, you’ve probably seen Coach Mack Brown’s rousing call to fans, emblazoned on the back of burnt orange t-shirts: “Come early. Be loud. Stay late.” I want to likewise charge you with the first two, this Easter Sunday, and amend the third charge.

First, come early. Come to the 9am service, which will be just like the 11am service, Kids Quest and all. We would like to have as many as possible come to the first service in order to have room for everyone and spread attendance across both services.

Second, be loud! Yes, come and rejoice with exuberance. Sing loud, belt the “allelulia,” as we will celebrate that he is risen, he is risen indeed.

Lastly, bring a friend. Who do you know that does not have a church home or know Jesus? Why not take a chance, and bring them this Sunday to worship with us? You can use this link if you invite them by email or social networking.

Peace, Cliff

P.S. I hope to see you tonight at the Maundy Thursday service and tomorrow at the Good Friday service. These are both very beautiful and powerful services.
