World’s Greatest Servant?

Rev. Cliff WarnerCliffNotes

We don’t promise you an ironic hat proclaiming you “The World’s Greatest Servant,” but we do stand in the company and on the promises of the Son, whom the Father called “My Good and Faithful Servant.”

For the next few weeks, we will invite many new people into opportunities to serve God and His kingdom through Christ Church. Will you join us on this mission? You can respond now, right here.

Seven reasons to find a place of service at Christ Church:
Because there is joy in service. The apostle Paul was glad and rejoicing as he poured himself out for others (Phil. 2:17).
Because we are a family. We take up our place of service in the household of God.
Because it helps us grow spiritually. The Bible claims it, research supports it and my own experience concurs: He increases when we decrease.
Because we grow in relationship with others. Serving alongside others is a great way both to deepen friendship and to make new friends at Christ Church.
Because people need to meet Jesus, and our service facilitates the encounter, whether by discipling a child in Kid’s Quest or making preparations for corporate worship.
Because Christ commands it: “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”
Because true greatness lies in service. “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all, a servant of all.”
