Update from the Anglican Mission Winter Conference

Greetings from Greensboro!

One of the highlights of Winter Conference for me thepast several years has been the excellent Bible studies provided eachmorning by Dr. J.I.Packer.Yesterday’s study of John 15 waswell worthgetting up earlyto attend.Wewere able totalkwith Dr.Packer right afterward andwill have a video greeting from him to share with you tomorrow.

Yesterday afternoon we attended a gathering of theLittle Rock Network (which is theregional group of churches in the AnglicanMissionthat Christ Church is a part of). I’ve beena part of the network since it launchedabout nine years ago. It’samazingto see how God hasmultiplied the number of churches in the network over that time. We welcomed several new congregations this year, including Trinity Anglican just down the roadin Lago Vista.

Right after the meeting, wetalked with Bishop PhilipJones, who provides apostolic and pastoraloversight to the churches in theLittle Rock Network. Bishop Joneswillvisit Christ Church on April 18 and will be conducting Confirmationduring our worship servicethat Sunday. We asked Bishop Jones to explain what Confirmation is and whyhe would encourageyou to participate in the upcomingConfirmation Class. His response is today’s video highlight from the Winter Conference.

You canreadmore about the Confirmation class here and registerfor the class here.

Grace and peace,
